What ages are appropriate for your children's musical birthday party entertainment?

Our "target" audience is babies through 7 years olds, although older brothers, sisters & cousins usually enjoy hanging out with the little ones while they all have a great time dancing, singing & playing with musical instruments. Our goal is to provide fun, interactive musical entertainment for the whole family... The best part of the show is watching the little ones have a great time whether they are strumming "Miss Kathy's" cool new guitar or singing into her microphone!

First birthdays are our specialty, since music appeals to very young children as well as "big kids." In fact, most of the parties we entertain at are for first birthdays. Little ones love dancing with mom & dad or their grandparents or just bopping to the beat of the music. They are engaged by all the fun activities and children's rhythm instruments that they get a chance to play with. There are usually children of varying ages at first birthday parties and "Miss Kathy" is quite comfortable working with babies, toddlers, and older children all at the same time.

Toddlers also love our program as well as "big" kids! "Miss Kathy" tailors her program to the age of the kids at the party. 3 to 7 year olds love to direct activities and "Miss Kathy" gives them lots of opportunity not just to participate, but to lead the fun! "Miss Kathy" does more upbeat activities with kid friendly rock & roll songs for the older kids & breaks out the limbo stick which the older children LOVE!

What size parties do you entertain at?

"Miss Kathy" and her partner entertain at big parties (birthday parties and nursery school events) & at small family gatherings. She has entertained at small parties with as few as 3 children to large parties with as many as 50 children -- so just ask!

Where do you entertain & how much room do we need?

You can enjoy "Miss Kathy's" children's musical birthday party entertainment at home in the comfort of your living room, family room or finished basement or at a daycare center, country club, restaurant, hall, in your backyard or at a park.

Since the kids' gather around during a performance it usually does not take up much space. Please feel free to discuss this with "Miss Kathy."

In warmer weather we enjoy bringing the celebration outside! For outdoor kids' birthday party entertainment we recommend that you throw down blankets for the kids to sit on & pick a shady area so that the children can be comfortable.

What time during the party should we scheudule the children's musical entertainment?

Some people enjoy having entertainment at the beginning of their child's party. As a general rule, the entertainment should be scheduled at least an hour after the party start time to allow for latecomers. We usually arrive about 10 to 15 minutes before the show to set up (and since "Miss Kathy" has a partner who helps to bring in the toys & instruments and set up our new Bose(R) professional sound system she is able to start engaging the children as soon as she arrives).

It is also fun to have the entertainment towards the end of the party just prior to the cake cutting. "Miss Kathy" will be happy to discuss this with you.

What do I need to provide "Miss Kathy" for the children's entertainment?

We need safe access to an electrical outlet and a clear space on the floor for "Miss Kathy" to play with the children. Also, please remove the toys from the room prior to the show. We bring our new Bose(R) professional sound system & lots of fun musical toys for the children to play with during the show. "Miss Kathy" and her partner take care of the rest so that you can relax and enjoy the show!

Do you entertain at other types of parties (in addition to children's birthday parties)?

Yes! We are delighted to say that "Miss Kathy" has been asked to perform at children's Christening parties, children's Shabbat services & other events. It has been a pleasure to be part of these special events!

"Miss Kathy" has also performed at summer camps, picnics, special outdoor fairs & for corporate events... She has performed at baby naming parties and "grown-up" birthday parties where children's entertainment was needed. She has also entertained at parties for children with special needs (for example, children with autism or cerebral palsy).

"Miss Kathy" is available for any other type of gathering in which you may want to have musical entertainment for the young children (infants, toddlers & children through 7 years old) -- for example Library Programs, Weddings, First Communions, Bar Mitzvahs, Bat Mitzvahs, Grand Openings, Holiday Parties, etc. She has performed at casual & elegant party settings and are quite comfortable doing both, so just ask!

"Miss Kathy" is quite busy doing private parties, but sometime performs at other public events.

What is your snow storm policy?

If it is a small amount of snow and the roads are considered safe for travel then we will still travel to parties. But if the weather is unsafe and you have entertainment scheduled for that day please call us at 908-874-5300 to reschedule. We do our best to accommodate your schedule, but in the unlikely case that we are unable to work out a date & time then we would refund your deposit (the deposit is normally non-refundable).

How do I book "Miss Kathy" for children's musical birthday party entertainment?

* Call 908-874-5300 with your specific date, time & birthday party location to check availability & rates.

* We require a $100 non-refundable deposit to hold the date. Balance is due at time of party (cash or check).

* When you are definitely booking party entertainment with "Miss Kathy" she will tentatively hold the time in her calendar. "Miss Kathy" must receive the deposit and birthday party entertainment registration form within one week to confirm the booking. Otherwise the time will be released from her schedule.
